Ever have a day where it started off as a good day, only to get completely and utterly derailed to the point where you're feeling utterly pissed off/craptastic/"insert any less-than-stellar mood here" by the end of the day?
More to the point, ever have a day where you're feeling so out of whack that your ability to communicate is completely and utterly fucked up and pretty much everything you say is...well, potentially going to sound really screwed up?
Yeah. There now. My apologies for anything that's been said since about 3 PM, whether it be here or in WoW or at home or whatever--especially if it's sounded particularly screwball in relationship to whatever the topic at hand was.

Naxxramas? Awesome place to raid, for the most part.
Instructor Razuvious? Hate him. Hate having to fight him. Very good way to induce a head- or stomacheache.
Don't mind me, just mildly ranting about a particularly annoying fight in WoW that seems to hinge a little too much on one specific ability that's available only to one specific class...

Stolen from Magicchupacabra on LJ:
The first 5 people to respond to this post will get something made by me. Could be jewelry, knitting, a card, baked good, anything. I'll decide based on who responds. However, this offer does have some rules:
- You will receive your goody within the next three months. - I'm not going to tell you what it is, so you'll have to be surprised.
You have to post something similar in your journal before I start to work on your goody. Not enforcing this rule--I'll do something if you respond regardless of whether or not you decide to do the same on your journal.
C'mon guys, answer this. I need something to do so I don't go completely and utterly insane. Comments are screened.

WoW: Wrath of the Lich King? Win.
A queue with an estimated wait time of over an hour on my primary server: Fail. Epic fail.
Ah well. I guess I shouldn't be at all surprised, given that Feathermoon is one of the servers that was recently offered free character transfers and still has a high population and that the expansion was released at midnight last night...and I'm willing to bet there are multiple people that took vacation time off from work to play because of it being all new and shiny and...yeah.

Still here. Haven't been saying much of anything, but still here. It's not that there hasn't been anything worth writing about or lack of time or energy to write something--if anything, the reverse has been true. It's just...I don't feel quite right typing what I wanna say here right now, for a couple of reasons. Meh. Maybe I'll just say screw it and get everything written down sometime soon...

Title says it all. Finished the moving and apartment-cleaning yesterday afternoon. It wasn't quite as bad as Kathie made it sound like it would be--just had two carloads of stuff and cleaning the two bathrooms and all the vacuuming. Only took us about three hours to finish everything. VERY happy that the moving's finished and that now I can relax somewhat and just work on unpacking and organizing everything...

Allon and I were turning different colors today...blue and gold, to be exact. But that tends to happen to people when they are painting, for some reason...
We were finally able to start painting the condo yesterday. Allon had taken this week off so we could spend the week doing that, but we weren't able to start until yesterday because we weren't able to close on the condo until the day before yesterday. We were supposed to close on Monday, but that got pushed back because Fay's visit caused all the government offices to be closed at the end of last week and we couldn't get the condo inspected until earlier this week. Ah well. We just gotta play a small bit of catchup now...paint, pack the stuff that hasn't been packed (and I swear our stuff is breeding or something now that we're trying to pack--I coulda sworn we didn't have this much stuff!), get furniture delivered, and move everything from the apartment to the condo. Oh, and we have 12 days to do everything in. We should be able to do it, even if it means Allon and I wind up not talking to anyone whatsoever until we're done because we're entirely too busy doing stuff. Ah well, could be worse. We could be stuck at this apartment complex for another year, eh?
Time for sleep now. Another busy day painting tomorrow, then have to go to work. Hmm...speaking of sleep. Seems that I didn't put my "do not disturb" sleepy dragon userpic on this journal. I need to fix that sometime.

It seems that the Buckman Bridge (the one I live close to that I cross to get to work) now has two reasons for being closed: high-ish wind speeds and a sailboat crashing into a light post.
I think I like how one of the commenters put it: "What idiot had a sailboat out in this weather? And if it got loose from a dock, what did he tie it down with, licorice?"

Jacksonville is currently seeing some tropical-storm force rain and wind.
I live on one side of the St. John's River. My work is located on the other side of the St. John's.
Multiple bridges in the Jacksonville area are currently closed due to wind--including the one really close to me that I have to cross to get to work.
When I called my workplace to tell them I might have issues getting there depending on the weather conditions tonight, I've found out that so far the company's inclement weather policy has not been activated--meaning that people that cannot get to work due to the bridge closings are S.O.L.
...yeah. My work can bite me, methinks. Even more so if the bridges are still closed when it comes closer to time for me to get ready for work.
Edit (6:30 PM EST): Yes, yes, I know. There are a couple of bridges still open at this point in time. But they're kinda out in the middle of nowhere in relation to where I'm located and where I need to go. And there's no guarantee that they'll still be open when I check in an hour. And I really don't relish the thought of driving in this weather for any longer than I normally would have to, as my car gets tossed around enough in lighter winds to make me leery of driving in this weather (and yes, I know. This weather is quite mild compared to some of the stuff that's hit various places in the past). Guess I'll just have to see how things are in an hour and decide then what to do, eh?

Been in Atlanta with Allon for the past few days. Back home now. Trip went okay, more or less--but not being able to have any private time whatsoever with my mate kinda sucked. And fondue restaurants are complete and total epic win^_^
...more later. Need to find something to eat, then take nap before I go to work.
