Comment "WORDS" to this entry and I will comment back with five words I associate with you. Then you post this in your journal elaborating.

Dragons: I've liked dragons for as long as I remember, and they are a very common theme in my origami and sculpting. As one could probably guess, there is a lot of dragon-related stuff throughout the condo--books, sculptures, pictures, and so forth. I'm also otherkin--dragonkin, to be exact.

Origami: I was first introduced to origami during middle school--I learned from a couple of friends how to fold cranes, waterbombs, and how to fold notes in odd ways that we hoped the teachers wouldn't be able to unfold if they were intercepted. In tenth grade, a friend and I were trying to figure out what to do for a presentation for our world history class. I jokingly commented that we could do the report on the history of origami while showing her a crane I folded in Spanish class. Thing is, she didn't take it as a joke--she asked for and received permission for that topic, and I've been folding in earnest ever since.

Samus: Samus Aran, from the Metroid series. She's one of my favorite video game characters, as well as one of the few that I've written fanfic about. She's strong, can do all sorts of interesting things with that suit of hers up to and including turning into a living bowling ball, and isn't afraid to do what she feels needs to be done--including disobeying direct orders if she feels there is a compelling reason to do so (speaking of that...Nintendo? I'm very glad to see there is a new Metroid game in the works, and one that explains some things mentioned in Fusion, but can we actually get a sequel to Fusion sometime? Please?)

Metaphysical: I believe in the existence of magic and the ability to use it. I believe in spirits, and in alternate realms of reality. I've also learned over the past few years that I cannot treat that belief lightly, or without a certain amount of respect. With that said...I am a witch, a dragonkin, and a Christian--and all three do work together, despite how it may appear at first glance.

Family: Being genetically related to someone does not necessarily make them family, nor does lack of genetic relationship mean that someone else is not family. For whatever reason, most of the people that I consider to be family are those that I am not related to by blood. I've found over the years that I tend to have much stronger ties to those I call friend.

Dragons: *points to Zanne's list*

Tarot: You would think one would get a tarot deck after becoming interested in learning about the tarot, right? Not this time. I got my first tarot deck because it was dragon-themed and because I liked the illustrations. Read the book that came with it, thought it might be interesting but didn't really think too much about it until about a year later. The thing that started to get me interested in actually learning about the tarot was when a friend asked her friend to do a reading for me in January 2005 and the reading turned out to be scarily accurate in regards to the situation at hand--and the person doing the reading didn't know me and was told next to nothing regarding the situation.

A good heart: Er...I don't really know what to say about this one...

Ears that listen and don't judge: Most--if not all--of my friends know that my door's open if they need someone to talk to. If there's anything I've learned over the years, it's that it can be good to have someone to talk to about stuff. As for the judging part...it's not my job. I don't want to claim it as such. I've found that it tends to do more harm than good, nor is it welcomed when one just needs someone to talk to.

Sweetheart: The same could be said of you, my friend *smiles and hugs*
